Bible: On Own
Geography: It Happened in America - Illinois
Math: regular programs, Annalise did her MUS workbook too
Reading: Abel - Mark Twain, Luke - Mystery at Smokey Mountain, Hope-Shadow Spinner, Kezzi - Sophie's World, Annalise - Round About (Alice & Jerry reader)
Writing: LLATL for Hope, Luke and Abel, Kezzi - written narration/book report on So Far From the Bamboo Grove (which was not favorable...boring, badly written, indifference to the characters), Annalise copied a sentence from her Beginner's Bible
History: a chapter from 50 Famous Stories Retold to Annalise, Hope and I read ch. 4 in Rushdoony's World History. I didn't get to SOTW today with the boys :(.
Historical Fiction: Hittite Warrior- 2 ch.
I took Abel and Annalise to our library so Abel could begin participating in a Contenders for the Faith group. Today they learned about tools and spent time hammering nails, which Abel knew plenty about from time with Dad but I thought he might still enjoy the time with other boys. We'll see. Annalise got to spend some time with one of her little friends. Annalise read a story to her in the cozy children's room.
Our Kamana I came in the mail today and I started looking through that. It looked pretty good except, of course, I'll have to change the native american emphasis, ie. thanking the earth, to thanking God. Can't wait to start that.
Annalise and I went for a walk this evening. We are really looking forward to next week when we will have an hour more of evening daylight!

When I look back on my little girl days, one of the memories that almost always comes to mind is me and Mama taking walks in the evenings through the pasture and/or through the woods. Precious memories!! I'm sure Annalise will have those same memories. (Just thought I'd share that.)
We sometimes forget the memories we are making, don't we? And how often we forget that it's the little things that stand out to us when we are older
